I hope you will see this message and have not stopped checking the message board for response to your pleas. People of faith die a physical death as do others but their spirit joins the Lord in all his glory. Pain and suffering are at an end and joy and love abound. As for remembering your Grandma I remember my Mom and Dad every year by buying and tossing fresh flowers in the nearby river, giving thanks to God for the gift of my parents. This I do with a friend of mine who tosses flowers in remembrance of her husband and parents as well. We stand there and watch them float out of sight. This we do at Easter or around Memorial Day and it gives us great peace. Friends at the time of the death of my parents paid for trees to be planted in Israel in their memory. Also personally planting a young tree or a flowering bush can serve to remind you that life for them continues in another place. As for a cremation memorial garden, our church has one. I believe the actual placement of the ashes may vary, some may be placed in one hole and others spread around. The important thing is that it is a place to go, remember, pray, and even talk to those we miss. We can never actually know if they hear us, but I could guess that from time to time they might. Hope this helps.
