In a time such as now, it seems the world culture thrives on bashing and bringing down those who are caught in sin. Why is that I wonder? It was only a year ago, the Amish community in Lancaster,Pa. amazed us with their spirit of inclusion and forgiveness reaching out to the wife of the very man who killed their children for no reason at all. In the scripture, Jesus said, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." He also said, "Pray for those who persecute you." Even in church communities we sometimes find hurt leads to anger, and anger to broken ties of fellowship. We need to learn to pray for one another and remember no one but the Lord is perfect. Each time a sin becomes apparent, there is an opportunity to learn something and for eventual healing and restoration. There have been countless examples of the Lord's ability to transform someone's spirit. We've got to weigh our words and not be so quick to judge. Our words are powerful, they can encourage or harm and destroy. The choice is ours because of free will. Let's aim higher next time. Karen from N.J.

In the scripture, Jesus said, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." He also said, "Pray for those who persecute you." I love that part of the scripture. Jesus knew how to use his words and how to let them flow without them contradicting each other. See in that passage, how he allowed the stone to be casted, but only those who have no sin can do this job. But he knew that the "one without sin" would not throw it; for he who has no sin has no hatred or ill-will and would never throw the stone to one who has fallen. He knew that "one with no sin" has no evil within themselves, therefore throwing a stone at someone does not constitute the traits/characteristics of a 'virtuous being.'
I just love how Jesus spoke so freely and light yet, the words impacted knocking out the egos and traditions of the group of pharises cuncotting ways of bring down the light of heaven to their level of muck and mud. God is so awesome in......EVERY way ;) GBY *~~G.R.L. Selah~~*
